Many auspicious or inauspicious matters depend upon the place of the cooking platform, sink, gas connection etc. Though the kitchen is in the East -South-East it is of no importance, if the cooking platform is constructed in the wrong place. Leaving the North-North-East part, the cooking platform in the kitchen should only be in the East If L shaped cooking platform is wanted, avoid the North-East and South-West parts of the kitchen room and construct it adjoining the walls in the East and the South. The platform in the West should be up to the North West avoiding the South West of the kitchen. The L shaped platform should be in the West and North-North-West. The cooking platform should never be in the North.
While cooking the face of the cook (Housewife) should face either the East or West. He/she should never face the North or South. There should never be a water tank on the kitchen room which is in the East-South- East. As for as possible, do not use white or yellow colour for the platform. There be a water tap and sink in the East-North-East direction of the platform. Place the gas fire in the East-South-East. If there are more than one connections, the main one often used) in the East-South-East and the other (seldom used) in the South-South-East. It is permissible. The Sink and Water Tap of the cooking platform in the West, should be in the West-North-West and place the gas in the middle of the Western side. Never place the gas in the South-West part of the kitchen. There should never be the cooking platform in the middle of any room. The cooking platform which is in the north east room or corner is not only bad but also inauspicious. Economic losses and bankruptcy can arise if the cooking platform in the north. Similarly, health problems, stomach diseases dis-contentedness are likely possible, if the cooking platform form is in the South and South-West. The kitchen room assumes the appearance like an inn which is open throughout day, if the cooking platform is in the West-North, West or North-North-West having no rest.
